Ainsley is the daughter of Kim and Lori Rossiter. Kim, or ‘Rooster’, is a retired Marine Corps Major. Born in the middle of three children in 2003, Ainsley, was diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) just before turning four years of age. INAD is an extremely rare terminal illness that has slowly caused global paralysis.
Ainsley’s Angels is a nationwide non-profit that pairs able-bodied runners with individuals with disabilities, allowing them to experience endurance events like 5Ks, marathons, and triathlons. Founded by retired Marine Major Kim "Rooster" Rossiter and inspired by his late daughter Ainsley, the organization champions inclusion, belonging, and the motto "everyone can."
