The New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Cardiology represents more than 1,500 cardiovascular professionals dedicated to transforming cardiovascular care and improving heart health. Together, they seek to dramatically reduce the incidence, severity, and complications from cardiovascular disease, while promoting prevention, reducing disparities in health care, and improving overall cardiovascular health. Keeping the interests of patients at the forefront, the college and its members work toward advancing knowledge about cardiovascular medicine and seek to significantly contribute to medical care.

In conjunction with the American College of Cardiology, the New Jersey chapter serves as a resource for local and state governmental and professional organizations regarding issues related to cardiovascular disease. The chapter provides continuing medical education programs of the highest caliber; is involved in socio-economic, reimbursement, and legislative issues that influence access to high quality cardiovascular care for all individuals; and maintains a high level of social consciousness.

The New Jersey chapter was established as a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation under federal and New Jersey State tax codes.
