Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA) District Associations are locally organized groups that connect registered nurses with the statewide professional association. Each district serves a defined geographic area and operates under bylaws, purposes, and membership standards consistent with TNA. Districts provide nurses with opportunities for professional networking, continuing education, leadership development, community service, advocacy, and engagement in issues affecting nursing practice and healthcare. TNA members are automatically affiliated with the district serving their area, allowing them to participate in local meetings, programs, committees, and events. District associations also strengthen communication between nurses, communities, and TNA’s state leadership by identifying regional concerns, sharing member perspectives, supporting legislative priorities, and promoting the profession.
Through elected officers and active volunteers, districts help develop emerging nurse leaders and encourage meaningful participation in professional nursing. Collectively, Tennessee’s district associations extend TNA’s mission across the state and create a structured local voice for nurses in diverse practice settings.
TNA District 15 serves the counties of: Wilson and Rutherford.
