Vòng Tay Cha Mẹ Việt (VTCMV) is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization that supports Vietnamese-speaking families of children and youth with disabilities. Founded by parents and community members, VTCMV provides culturally and linguistically responsive programs, resources, training, and peer support to help families navigate education, healthcare, and community services.
Since 2017, VTCMV has worked to reduce barriers faced by immigrant families by providing information in families' home language, creating opportunities for connection and mutual support, and promoting greater access to services and resources. Through virtual workshops, youth programs, parent support groups, community events, and partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and disability organizations, VTCMV serves hundreds of families across Massachusetts each year.
Our mission is to empower families, strengthen community connections, and promote equitable access to opportunities for children and youth with disabilities.
Every year, we meet families who are doing everything they can for their children but are navigating complex systems largely on their own. Many are trying to understand special education, healthcare, disability services, and community resources in a language that is not their first language. Some have spent months searching for answers. Others have never met another family facing similar challenges.
At VTCMV, we believe no family should have to walk that journey alone.
What often begins as a parent looking for information becomes something much bigger—a community of families supporting one another, sharing knowledge, celebrating milestones, and helping each other overcome barriers. Through parent support groups, educational workshops, youth programs, community events, and multilingual resources, we work to ensure that families have access to the information, connections, and support they need to help their children thrive.
The Flutie 5K is one of the ways we make that work possible.
When you join Team VTCMV—whether by running, walking, fundraising, donating, or cheering from the sidelines—you are helping us continue to provide programs and resources for children with disabilities and their families. Your support helps us create opportunities for families to connect, learn, and build a stronger community together.
We invite you to run with us, walk with us, or support our team. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps us move closer to a future where all families, regardless of language or background, have access to the support and opportunities their children deserve.
Join Team VTCMV and help us continue this mission—one family, one connection, and one step at a time.
