Georgia Overdose Prevention (GOP) is focused on reducing opioid overdose deaths by educating the public about overdose response, advocating for lifesaving laws, and distributing free naloxone (Narcan) rescue kits to people at risk and their communities. The organization was instrumental in the passage of Georgia’s 911 Medical Amnesty and Naloxone Access Law, which encourages people to call for help during an overdose without fear of arrest, and provides training and resources to help save lives.
