On Saturday, September 19th, 2026 #TeamBubba will be participating in the Annual Life;Story 5K/10K Run and Walk in an effort to raise awareness about Mental Health and strive to fight for a world where suicide no longer exists. 

This will be our 13th year participating in this walk as well as the 13th year we've gone without our beloved Jason "Bubba" Pfolsgrof. Together we walk for the 154 families in Manatee & Sarasota County who have lost loved ones to suicide in a single year. 
 
- We walk because depression IS more common than we think & MORE treatable than we realize 
- We walk because suicide is the only death that is 100% preventable, & that starts with awareness 
- We walk to honor those who have lost their fight and could have been saved  

- Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the US & it continues to be the only one 100% preventable.

- In 2023, 49,316 Americans died by suicide; That is 1 death every 11 minutes 

- In 2023, there were an estimated 1.5Million suicide attempts

 
Today we ask you to join our fight to save lives; reach out to families who have lost a loved one, offer a hand to those in need of help, and create an outlet to make suicide and depression mentionable. 

 Together I believe we can break the stigma of Mental Health, that starts by keeping the conversation going.
