Golf Volunteer Details
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the SBTF Golf Invitational. Without you dedicating your valuable time, we cannot make this event a success, so thank you!
Please review the available volunteer dates/times for both Sunday and Monday and select what works best for you. From there, click on the button to sign up and enter the required information. You may sign up for multiple slots.
As a non-profit, we are able to provide a document verifying your volunteer hours. This can be issued at the completion of your volunteer slot. Please feel free to share this link with any service organizations at school, church, college or work and we are happy to answer questions or create a custom shift for you if the times don't quite work for your schedule. Teen volunteers are welcomed with an adult. Please make note when registering, if you want to be paired with someone in particular.
For all shifts, please remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and layered clothing for your comfort as the event is outdoors.
We will be sending additional volunteer details in the volunteer confirmation email you will receive once you sign up. When you arrive, you will park in the clubhouse parking lot, so there is no cost for parking.
**Please be sure to plan to arrive at least 15 mins before your scheduled volunteer time, to allow for parking and the check-in process.
Thank you for supporting our event and mission to support the brain tumor community!
The SBTF Team!
PS- If you have any questions before your volunteer day/time, please don't hesitate to email us at info@sbtf.org. PLEASE be sure you let us know as soon as possible if you cannot commit to your volunteer slot, as we will need to find someone to fill your slot. If you need to contact us on the day of your scheduled volunteer time, please text 770-722-2977. Please only text if it's urgent, and email will not allow enough time.

Chip in for brain tumors!
Created in 2023 by Dr. Jay McCracken and the SBTF, the SBTF Golf Invitational event has become a signature event for the Foundation. Held at prestigious courses such as Reynolds Lake Oconee, The River Club and The Golf Club of Georgia, this event allows our participants the opportunity to play exclusive private courses while supporting a great cause!
The event includes a round of golf, cart, lunch, beverages, player gift and a post-play reception. The reception features a DJ, silent auction and raffle with full menu and bar. The SBTF Golf Invitational features activations such as a beat-the-lady-pro hole, hit-a-bottle win-a-bottle putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin.
The event is a four-man scramble format. In a scramble all the players on the team tee off. The team selects the best shot and the other players pick up their balls and everyone on the team plays within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the best tee shot. After everyone hits their second shot, the best shot is again selected from which point everyone again plays within one club length (no closer to the hole) from the best spot. This is repeated until the ball is holed.
