The Krueger Hat Trick Foundation exists to bring hope, comfort, and real support to families facing one of the hardest battles imaginable—Pediatric Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).

Founded by Katelin and Tom Krueger, the foundation was born from both love and loss. Their son Aiden, one of their triplet boys, was a brave Heart Warrior who lived with a severe congenital heart defect. After undergoing open-heart surgery, Aiden passed away at just 2.5 years old in October 2019. Though his time here was short, his impact continues to be immeasurable.

Through Aiden’s life, his family came to understand a powerful truth: CHD is the most common birth defect in the United States, affecting 1 in 100 babies—and 1 in 4 of those children will require life-saving surgery. Behind every statistic is a family fighting, hoping, and holding on.

In Aiden’s honor, Katelin and Tom chose to turn heartbreak into purpose—carrying forward his spirit of joy, strength, and love to uplift other Heart Families walking a similar path.

Thanks to the generosity of everyday donors and supporters, KHT has been able to provide over $200,000 in financial assistance to families navigating medical crisis, hospital stays, and the overwhelming realities of CHD care.

But more than funding, KHT exists to remind families they are not alone.

Every donation, every race, every act of support helps continue Aiden’s legacy—spreading hope, easing burdens, and standing beside Heart Families when they need it most.

Together, we can keep showing up for them—one heartbeat, one family, one act of love at a time.
