History
James Tadych, owner and founder of T&C Markets began his grocery career as a young man working his father’s family store. His father always stressed customer satisfaction is ALWAYS first and Jim has set that as a high priority in all his stores today. He took time out from his father’s store to serve his country in the Army. In 1968, upon his return from the service was the beginning of a great company when he purchased his first store in Brillion, Wisconsin.
Jim was fortunate to see that the grocery world was changing by leaps and bounds, not only structurally but technologically as well. T&C Markets in Shawano, Wisconsin was the next store with Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin close behind. The store in Sturgeon Bay brought in a new concept of a warehouse style store that brought LOW PRICES to the area. Currently, Tadych’s has six locations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Where We Are Today
The trend continued as Jim’s vision of the industry continued toward more upscale stores focusing on the perimeter departments such as banking facilities, floral, in-store bakeries and much more. A new and wonderful décor package has been recently added to most of our stores that we know will bring a smile to your face. Our stores offer many services to our customers, as our goal is to keep the largest variety and highest possible quality. We save you money… period.

Giving Back
We are also proud to say that we have contributed over ONE MILLION dollars to local churches, schools and other non-profit organizations, in addition to the sponsorship of many youth sports activities and other groups.
We truly are proud to be in a business where we can serve the community and the customers in the best possible way! We will always continue to strive to offer you the highest quality and service around.
Tadych’s stores are fun places to shop and enjoy! Come on by and check us out, we know you’ll be glad you did.
