The HER Campaign 5K Run is more than just a race - it's a movement to mobilize communities and end modern-day slavery. As a participant, we invite you to take your impact to the next level by fundraising and engaging your community, church, or workplace.

Whether you're in Billings, Montana or participating virtually from around the world, we've got 20 creative ideas to help you make a difference. From hosting a bake sale to organizing a group training session, we've got something for everyone. You'll not only be raising funds to support the HER Campaign's vital work, but also spreading awareness and inspiring others to join the fight.

By participating in the 5K Run and fundraising for the HER Campaign, you'll be part of a global movement to end human trafficking. Your efforts will help support survivors, advocate for change, and bring hope to those affected by this devastating issue. So why wait? Here’s three we think are the MOST important. 

1. Set up a fundraising page with RUN for HER and share with friends and family
2. Ask friends to sponsor your run with a flat donation.
3. Text all your friends that your doing the challenge. (And include the link to donate) 

20 CREATIVE IDEAS

1. Invite people to become a business sponsor of the event - no business is too small we have packages for everyone
2. Ask to speak at your church, about your passion to end slavery and invite people to Support
3. Host a pre-run carbo-load dinner and invite friends to donate
4. Organize a group training session at church or your gym and ask participants to donate
5. Create a team and encourage friends to join and fundraise together
6. Set up a donation station at work / school or church 
7. Host a bake sale or lemonade stand EVERYONE loves a bake sale! 
8. Hold a raffle or silent auction with prizes donated by local businesses
9. Offer to run an extra mile for each donation over a certain amount
10. Set up a "virtual runner" option for friends who can't attend in person- do it over zoom! Maybe a 5k constantly for 24 hours 
11. Host a pre-run yoga or stretching class and ask for donations
12. Create a fundraising challenge, like a "5k for a 5k " social media challenge.. asking people to join in with you to END slavery 
13. Ask friends to share your fundraising page on social media. (Sharing is caring) 
14. Hold a post-run celebration- dinner or takeaway would be a winner
15. Print posters with your giving QR code and put them up in your office/ back of your car/ church 
16. Offer personalized thank-you notes or shoutouts for donors
17. Text every friend you have with a giving link! 
18. Create a "runner's survival kit" with donated items and sell them
19. Set up a text-to-give option for easy donations- ask to share it at church or work! 
20. Wear a T-shirt with your giving link on for a whole month before the event!
