How will MREF use my donation?
Every child deserves to access nutritious food – not just on special occasions, but every day.
Your donation to the MREF’s 30 Days of Giving fundraiser will provide food staples to children in developing countries, fight against food insecurity, and take the stress of lunch debt of a child’s plate in the U.S.
Why is the MREF focusing on food insecurity?
In the U.S., 20% of children do not know where their next meal is coming from. In some school districts, children as young as 5 years old go hungry at lunch, and many miss field trips, dances, and even walking at graduation due to school lunch debt.
Approximately 412 million children live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $3 a day (UNISEF). Assist grassroots organizations working in developing countries to support children in the form of food, supplies, and education.
