Meet the 3 Bros Running Ambassadors

The 3 Bros ambassadors were chosen for their passion, dedication, and commitment to the running community. They embody everything we stand for at 3 Bros Running Company. We believe that everyone—regardless of race, gender, age, or pace—can be our third bro. Running is for everyone, and together, we make the community stronger.

Alex Ferguson

Alex Ferguson

Hi everybody, I’m Alex! I’ve been running on and off for years, but lately, I’ve really gotten back into it after joining the Orange Texas Run Club. I’ve done a few local 5Ks, and I’m wanting to train to run my first half marathon this year! For me, running isn’t just about staying active- it’s a reminder to be grateful for what my body can do and a way to connect with an amazing community of people who love the sport as much as I do.

Michael Swanson

Michael Swanson

I started running in my 30s to do what many of us do—get in shape after a divorce. Now in my 40s, running helps me navigate my ongoing mid-life crisis. I run trails, roads—whatever I can—and have completed races from 1 mile to 100K (though that was years and 40 pounds ago). My wife, Jennifer, and I document our running adventures with our toddlers on YouTube (@motivatedbymedals) and our often outdated website, mariosrightnut.com/runningstuff. My goal is to help runners of all ages, speeds, and abilities embrace the sport—even if it means shouting "Running Sucks" (at least in their heads) as they cross the finish line.

Norma Vazquez

Norma Vazquez

Hello, my name is Norma. I began my running journey in 2017. After completing my first 5k, there was no looking back; I was hooked. Since then, I've completed numerous 5k's, 10k's, half marathons and 5 marathons. I've also completed a sprint duathlon in 2024, which was no easy task. Hoping to tackle an Ironman someday soon. I am currently training with my Pasadena-Texas Runners Club family for my first 50k in November 2025. I still have so many goals to achieve and I am ecstatic to share them with the 3 Bros Running Company Ambassadors team.

Jonathan Whitaker

Jonathan Whitaker

I started running in February 2016 after quitting smoking in July 2015. With my wife’s encouragement and the C25K app, I went from barely running to completing my first 5K. Since then, I've run 8 marathons, 23 half marathons, and numerous 5Ks and 10Ks. This past year, I paced three half marathons. Running has brought me closer to my family and helped me form lifelong friendships. I'm excited to continue this journey and see you out there!

Jay Dubrow

Jay Dubrow

Howdy! Jay here! Your friendly, average neighborhood runner! I laced up my running shoes in 2022 in an attempt to find my freedom and I’ve been flying ever since! I have completed 3 half marathons and am anxiously training for my first full and ultra. When I’m not working, running, at the gym, or swimming, I’m hanging with my animals, reading, diamond painting, or volunteering at the Houston Zoo. I’m incredibly excited to be able to share my passion with this group of athletes! Don’t hesitate to join Pasadena-Texas Runners Club or Urban Locos Runners through the streets of Houston! Can’t wait to see y’all out there!

Alberto Medellin

Alberto Medellin

I've been running since 2012 and an ultrarunner since 2014. I primarily focus on ultra trail runs but also really enjoy the road and shorter trail runs, especially those now put on by 3 Bros Running. The Toughest 10k Kemah was one of my very first 10ks in 2012! I live in Texas City with my wife and our 3 dogs (Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Billie Eilish). Bruno is my running buddy (Brittany Spaniel)! I'm very excited to be representing 3 Bros Running and looking to make a contribution to the running community in my area!

Chris Heisner

Chris Heisner

I started running in 2015/2016 to lose weight and clear my head. After moving to Beaumont, I joined the Golden Triangle Strutters, which introduced me to trail running and a supportive community. I've completed races from 5Ks to full marathons (five total) and trail races up to 100 miles. My 2025 goals are to lose the weight gained after Rocky Raccoon and focus on half marathons, working on regaining my speed.

Elizabeth Bowman

Elizabeth Bowman

Hi! I’m Elisabeth Bowman. I am married with 3 very active kids, who constantly keep me on my toes. I started running in 2022 when one of my friends invited me to join her in running her *last* Chevron half marathon. I had never ran a mile continuously in my adult life but decided to try out training for a 5K to see what it was like. Immediately, I was hooked. I started my first half marathon training plan and found a running community at Lifetime Baybrook. The rest is history and now I have completed two full marathons, 10 half marathons, countless 10Ks and 5Ks and my long term is to complete a race in all 50 states! I love the running community so much and it’s become a big part of my life. I am so excited to be a part of the ambassador program this year. I love encouraging others to take a leap of faith and try something out of their comfort zone. You never know when it might be your next thing!

Magen Giddens

Magen Giddens

Just you're new best running friend, Magen!! I've been running for about 10 years now. Started out with the bridge series and really never stopped. I am an avid mountain biker, triathlete and ultra runner! If I am not running, swimming, biking or walking the dogs, I'm out with my beautiful daughter who is soon to be a runner as well!! I'm so excited to be a member of this team and to see you out on the run! Join me and the crew, Pasadena Texas Runners Club and Alvin Running Club!

Lauren Straud

Lauren Straud

I'm so excited to be an ambassador for 3 bros running! I am an avid runner and love participating in races of all distances and on all terrains. I currently reside in Lake Jackson, TX. I have been a runner for almost 20 years. I run because I love it and I can't wait to share that passion with everyone I meet!

John Nguyen

John Nguyen

Hi my name is John. I started running in 2010 to get healthy. Shortly after I started running I ran my first half marathon in Seabrook. I was hooked after my first race. I have done 9 marathons and countless half marathons. I also love to give back to the running community. I like to volunteer and help out at the running events. I also like to collaborate with groups on their weekends runs.

Hayden Lightfoot

Hayden Lightfoot

I started my health journey in April 2021, running just 0.25 miles at a time. Slowly, I learned to pace myself, and running became enjoyable. I ran my first 5K in summer 2021 and felt incredible support from the community. My advice to new runners: slow down, trust the process, and enjoy the journey. After losing 75 lbs, I’ve completed 10 marathons, including Houston ‘25, and I’m proud of my progress!

Weijiang Tang

Weijiang Tang

I’m excited to be an ambassador for 3 Bros Running! Running has been my passion for nearly 20 years, from roads to trails, sprints to ultras. In 2022, I started running to fight diabetes, obesity, and sleep apnea. Three years later, I qualified for Boston, lost 45 pounds, and conquered a 100-mile ultramarathon. Running changed my life, and I can’t wait to inspire others on their journey!
