Mr. Scott Haws has called Stark County his home since 1977 being a lifelong resident to the area. Mr. Haws currently serves as Director of Operations for a regional restoration reconstruction company. Scott's prior experience includes time as a Project Manager, Sales and Service Operations and Planning professional with over 15 years’ experience in the banking facility and solution sales business with a global technology business.

Scott's education background includes being a graduate of Kent State University (Bachelors in Finance 1999), Walsh University (Masters of Business Administration 2006), Leadership Stark County Signature Program 2007 & Government Academy (2008), Dale Carnegie Graduate and Six Sigma Green Belt Certified Graduate/Black Belt Trained. Scott is a a 2017 graduate of the Cleveland Division FBI Citizens Academy.

Scott is an avid community volunteer with a passion and insatiable desire to serve and to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Mr. Haws’ has the ability to bring others together, to work for the greater good. Through smart stewardship and community involvement he displays what others would view as a strong commitment to community and mission to make Stark County a better place.

Mr. Haws currently serves as VIce President of The Stark County Township Association where he has been an active member since 2009, is a member of the Stark County Regional Planning Commission, the Ohio Township Association, and Plain Township's appointed representative to the Stark County Council of Governments (SCOG) where he also serves as an Executive Committee member. In addition Mr. Haws has served as the Stark County Township Board Representative to the Stark County Land Reutilization Corporation. Mr. Haws also currently serves as a member of the Rotary Club of Plain Township and the North Canton YMCA Board of Directors where he chairs the Facilities Sub Committee.

Mr. Haws has served as past Vice President Board of Directors for Diebold Federal Credit Union, Chair of the YStark! Professional Development Series, Chairman of the Plain TWP Bicentennial Cruise In Car Show, North Canton Jaycees Member, Leadership Stark County Justice Day Committee Member, Former Walsh Alumni Board of Directors, YStark! Inaugural Twenty under 40 Award Recipient and Member of Faith Family Church.
