This year, we’re proud to walk, run, and raise awareness in Kelly’s honor at the Run for the Stripes event.
In September 2024, Kelly was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine cancer. Our family will never forget this day. No one prepares you when you are told a loved one has cancer. It was one of the scariest moments of our lives. I believe Kelly handled this situation better than we all did. She was brave and showed no fear during this time. She stayed strong and positive for her kids.
Neuroendocrine cancer is a rare cancer that typically is not treated with chemotherapy or radiation. Most neuroendocrine cancers are not detected in blood work which makes it hard to detect. This is why we want to raise awareness.
This event supports research and awareness for neuroendocrine cancer. This will be our first time joining this 5K run/1 mile walk and we want you to be a part of it. You can join us in person or make a donation in Kelly’s name.
