The McHenry County Conservation Foundation’s mission is to support the public conservation, recreation, and environmental education efforts of the McHenry County Conservation District.

In today’s world, our lives and our minds are busy. Connecting with nature is an opportunity for all of us to slow down, or, as was definitely the case in 2020, to escape life’s daily stressors. With a gift to the McHenry County Conservation Foundation, you are giving back to nature and the impact of that gesture goes far beyond the value of a dollar.

The natural areas and open spaces managed by the McHenry County Conservation District are public lands where anyone, regardless of circumstance or ability, has the opportunity to reconnect with our natural world. They are spaces where endangered and threatened species, like the Blandings turtle, have an opportunity to thrive. They are where our drinking water is filtered and our air is cleaned. They also offer a constant learning opportunity for students of all ages to learn and grow through meaningful outdoor experiences.

By choosing to invest in nature, you are standing up for our water, wildlife, and way of life in McHenry County and beyond. You are making an impact that will resonate for generations.
