The Amina Grace Memorial Fund was established in memory of 5 year old Amina Grace who passed away suddenly in 2014. It was created to honor her and to carry on life’s lessons learned from her – that all human beings have amazing abilities but sometimes we need a little extra help to live up to our full potential. The primary mission of the fund is to create lasting acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome and to provide resources to organizations that support those with Down syndrome and other differing abilities.
We currently provide funding to 4 important programs that serve the differing abilities communities - Amina Grace Speech and Language Program at GiGi’s Playhouse, currently offered at 17 locations nationwide and in Mexico, Amina Grace Gardens Program at Misericordia, Congratulations Basket program through the National Association for Down Syndrome (NADS) and Gerry’s Cafe. These programs will help individuals with Down syndrome and other differing abilities become valued members of their communities.
Monies raised through the Human Race will help us support the growth of these programs!
