The Parks & Recreation Foundation of Johnson County is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes the development and sustainability of parks, trails, green space, recreation, and the arts in Johnson County through advocacy and financial support. We believe in access and equity for all, and through a designated fund, seek to reduce barriers to participation for disadvantaged and underrepresented communities in the greater Kansas City area. Since 1977, we have preserved over 1600 acres of park land and currently hold 229 acres for future park and recreation purposes.
