Alon Stein is running for judge in the 12th Subcircuit and is the Democratic nominee for the General Election to be held on November 5, 2024.

He is married to Nina Stein and for the last eight years Alon and Nina have made their home in Northbrook, Illinois, along with their two boys, Ari (8) and Oren (5). 

 


On most days, you can find Alon and Nina playing baseball or some other sport with Ari and Oren, participating in many school-related or park district activities involving their children, at local farmers’ markets, putting up birthday signs for the local PTA on students’ birthdays, and/or volunteering for various community causes. 

Aside from his law practice, Alon is active in his local community. He serves on the board of directors of a Sunday school for immigrant and first-generation American children and he is involved with Northbrook Action Baseball, having sponsored several baseball teams for years. 

Alon is also active in the legal community as a leader in several bar associations and as an officer of the Advocates Society (the Polish-American Bar Association in Chicago). He has trained other attorneys by lecturing at Continuing Legal Education seminars and also by publishing articles in legal publications on cutting-edge topics and issues of interest to the legal community. 

Alon Stein is a highly experienced courtroom attorney and he has taken numerous cases to trial and/or judgment in his legal career, including a recent wrongful death jury trial in which he saved the career of a nurse who was falsely accused. In addition, he has argued before state and federal appellate courts and state Supreme Courts, including a recent oral argument before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. He has served as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County for over 10 years, where he has presided over arbitration proceedings, which are very similar to court proceedings.

Alon has dedicated his entire legal career to providing quality legal services to local businesses and individuals. Alon has been found “Recommended” or Qualified” to serve as a Circuit Court Judge by all of the rating bar associations.
