I'm excited to share that I've joined the SpeakUp Shamrock Team and am raising money for the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation, whose mission is to cultivate awareness and understanding of teenage depression and anxiety. When Grace first approached me to run on behalf of SpeakUp I was hesitant as I truly am not a runner ... after some thought I realized that I can and will accomplish this goal. Cameron and Grace are the only people who could ever convince me to run a race and so for them I will be there!
The funds raised allow the CKG Foundation to partner with local schools and mental health professionals to implement prevention-based programs and curricula, providing education and initiating conversations amongst teens regarding depression and anxiety.
