The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is a non-profit, community organization created as the result of the sale of the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center to Community Health Systems in 2003. With assets of $79 million as of Dec. 31, 2019, the Foundation serves the residents of Pottstown Borough and those within a 10-mile radius.
We are dedicated to assuring increased access to health and wellness education and services. We provide some of these services through Foundation programming, but the majority of services are provided through funding of other non-profit health and wellness providers.
We award grants to area organizations that best use their resources, services and products to achieve positive outcomes. Outcomes are things that benefit people’s health and well-being, such as new knowledge, increased skills, positive change in attitude or values, positive change in behavior or an improved condition.
We offer the tools and motivation for people to improve their health and well-being every day.
By helping area residents enthusiastically embrace a healthier lifestyle, we are creating a more dynamic and more vibrant community in which to live.
