The Emilee Connection, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to support adults who suffer from anorexia and other eating disorders by harnessing the power of peer support, social connection, activities, educational events, inspiring speakers, and to also provide education and peer support for those who love them. Eating disorders are serious, life-threatening illnesses that are underrecognized, under-resourced, and are never a choice. Adults with eating disorders have unique needs and challenges. The Emilee Connection understands these psycho-social challenges and provides a safe haven of peer and community support that builds trust, aids in transitions, helps individuals reconnect with themselves, find purpose, and share frustrations and victories with a community who can see the individual through the disease and who understand the challenges of having an eating disorder.
