OUR STORY:
After a 5 year struggle with family building that included countless tests, surgeries, procedures, injections, and other meds; supplemental treatments like acupuncture, fertility massage, yoga, vitamins, supplements and herbs; mental health help from RESOLVE support groups and therapy; and an unbelievable amount of money spent and tears cried, we thought we were at the end of our journey. Lynn’s body was out of eggs and our bank account was empty. But in 2019, we were the very fortunate recipients of a grant for fertility treatments through Keeping Hope Alive, thanks to funds raised for the organization from the Walk of Hope NJ. This grant allowed us to purchase the donor eggs that gave us one perfect embryo. That embryo was transferred in January 2020 and we welcomed our miracle son, JJ, that September. He is now 4.5 years old and the light of our lives!
We wouldn’t be here without the Walk of Hope NJ and we are honored to keep participating and pay it forward by raising the necessary funds to support our local family-building community. Every little bit makes a difference in helping others get through the painful process of infertility and could also help some else achieve their dream like we did.
