our daughter, River - started off as just a wish - a quiet hope in our hearts. that built and grew so big over time. we dreamt of her daily - but the road to her was winding and as time passed and the uncertainty built, we didn't know if we would ever reach her.
I thank every single woman & person that came before me. that put their bodies, minds & souls through one of the toughest battles to try to build their families, that donated their eggs & embryos to research, that never gave up on their own fight - because of them - the reproductive medicine has gotten to where it is and we were given this beautiful opportunity to build our family.
because of IVF - we were able to welcome our daughter into this world in june 2025 after a long 725 days of trying to get to her. our story has such a beautiful ending - but for so many - that is not their ending & their journey is much longer than ours was.
& just because i now have my beautiful daughter - i don't want that to be where this journey ends for me. i want to join the thousands of women that came before me that were able to make this my reality. i want to continue to fight for this right so that every person is able to build their family.
I can’t wait to tell River all about how we found our way to her & how we had the biggest, best support surrounding us. & how we continue to fight for & support the very thing that brought her to us.
