Story

Cloud Eleven Cotton Candy Co. is named for the Level 11 Pediatric Hematology and Oncology floor at Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Cloud Eleven Cotton Candy Co., started in 2022 by Ashley and Nate Hall, along with their children Evan and Alaina, and is named for the Level 11 Pediatric Hematology and Oncology floor at Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
All proceeds raised from sales go directly back to helping families experiencing childhood cancer, as well as funding the yearly Healthcare Heroes Appreciation and Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day at the Field of Dreams.
This event honors the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Staff from University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital and celebrates their Childhood Cancer Warrior Patients!
It provides a fun and ‘poke-free’ environment for the kids to enjoy time with their medical team, outside of the hospital walls.
Each year, Cloud Eleven raises money to pay for hotel rooms for the families that are traveling to this event, as well other various expenses. This year’s event will be held on 9/29, at 12-5pm.

We are also able to provide funds for groceries, gas, bills, and meals at the hospital.
New this year, we started Project: Hello From the Other Side.
On September 14th, the Iowa Hawkeye Football Team will take on Troy University for the Be Bold, Wear Gold Football Game at Kinnick Stadium.
The Be Bold, Wear Gold game holds a special significance for these families, as gold is the color of pediatric cancer awareness, and September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.
Currently, there are 75 Childhood Cancer Fighters, warriors, angels and their families registered to attend this game! To make it even more special, oncology staff members will also be in attendance to join the kids in the sands! Our group has now reached over 470 members!
Many of these fighters have only ever been a part of the wave from behind the hospital walls and will finally have the opportunity to wave hello from the other side!
