Support the Border to Border Trail!

Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative (HWPI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to facilitate development and promote enjoyment of regional trails connecting people, communities, and nature. Our primary project is  the Border to Border Trail (B2B Trail), a 55 mile, non-motorized pathway that connects communities and provides accessible outdoor recreation across Washtenaw County and beyond. Support for HWPI goes directly towards building the B2B Trail, and investing in a more connected, active, and vibrant trail community.

As an organization that puts community above all else, HWPI is excited to once again be a partner for one of our biggest annual local events - the Dexter Ann Arbor Run. The half marathon course along the Huron River is quite literally the planned trail route. Over half of the Dexter to Ann Arbor corridor is now complete - between downtown Dexter and Delhi Metropark - with 3.6 miles remaining along Huron River Dr. Every stride, cheer, and donation keeps our vision of a fully connected trail between these two communities moving forward. Your gift ensures that decades from now, friends and family will walk and bike on the path that you raced, and on the trail you helped build. This race is just one day, but the trail you're creating will serve the community for generations to come.
