As many of you know by now, my Dad, Mark, was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer several years ago. Thanks to God and the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at HUP (Ravdin 6 Nurses are the best!) my dad underwent a complete, and successful, esophagectomy on January 7, 2019. While recovery from the surgery was, and continues to be, a rough road, my dad is currently cancer free! And we couldn't be more thankful for that!
This year's walk just so happens to fall on the birthday of myself, my twin sister, and my brother-in law. And the 3 of us would love nothing more for a birthday gift than to try to help prevent someone else's family member from having to experience this diagnosis or surgery.
