Leading Edge Take Heart 5K

I’ve had the opportunity to go to Kenya four times, and each time my love for the people there grows.  The relationships I’ve built over the years have been life changing.  Some of my favorite memories are playing cards and reading stories to Pius (my Kenyan son).  I’ve also enjoyed teaching Barack and Steve how to play Spikeball.  Hearing their stories and getting to know their dreams and desires has been an inspiration to me in my own life.  I love being able to connect with them on a weekly basis through our mentorship program thanks to Facetime.  I think the Leading Edge Take Heart 5k is important because in life, giving to someone who cannot do anything for you exemplifies what Jesus has done for me.
