Community Scholarship Fund at Perryville High School

Donate

The Community Scholarship Fund at Perryville High School has been in existence at Perryville High School since 1997, and was founded to help give local students access to pursue their continued education goals. Students apply for the Community Scholarship, and a Scholarship Selection Committee reviews the applications (based on service learning, Financial need, activities, etc) and selects up to 25 students to invite for interviews.  During the Community Scholarship Interview Night, anyone who donated money to the fund and/or teachers who volunteer conduct individual interviews with students.  The committee asks questions regarding where they will be attending school, any majors they are studying, scholarships earned, etc.  Students are then evaluated based on the interview.  Any student who interviews receives some portion of the Community Scholarship fund (usually between $300 and $1,000).
