Emergency Food Network (EFN) is Pierce County's emergency food distributor, providing more than 75 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters with more than one million pounds of food each month, at no cost to them. Families experiencing food insecurity have to decide between paying for food and other basic needs like housing, transportation, and medicine. In 2024, EFN's network served more than 3 million visits from children, adults, and seniors experiencing food insecurity.
EFN leverages donated, purchased, and government food to distribute 2 meals for $1.
