WARRIOR WALK - for Pediatric Cancer Awareness

September is childhood cancer awareness month and the Warrior Walk is your opportunity to walk for the warriors who battle pediatric cancer and help financially support the mission of Cancer Families United. 

Cancer Families United is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides support and services to families affected by childhood cancer in Southwest Michigan at Bronson Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic in Kalamazoo, MI. This organization provides travel assistance, family care bags, family events,  Warrior Wishes for relapsed patients, advocates in Washington D.C for research and funding and many other valuable services. The Warrior Walk is a celebration to honor the brave warriors who are currently in treatment, have been in treatment or who have passed away from treatment of pediatric cancer. This event will include activities, light food/beverages, music, and a ceremony honoring and remembering the Warriors of pediatric cancer! In the registration section you will have the option to become an individual fundraiser or create a fundraising team.

The Warrior Walk is on a  3 mile paved trail at the Celery Flats in Portage that is suitable for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. Pets are welcome but owners must abide by Portage Parks and Recreation rules regarding animals. There will be prizes for the top 3 fundraising individual/team awarded at the end of the walk and additional  items will be for sale at the awareness tent.
