WXPN Musicians On Call brings live music directly to the bedsides of hospital patients across our region. Not in waiting rooms. Not through screens. But right there in the room—one patient, one musician, one song at a time.

It’s simple. It’s human. And it makes a real difference.

 Every $150 we raise represents one night of Bedside Programming in one healthcare facility.

Since 2004, WXPN Musicians On Call has delivered more than 150,000 of these moments across nine Philadelphia-area hospitals. With your help, we’ll keep these weekly visits going strong—and expand to a 10th hospital in 2026.

• Bedside Performances – Volunteer Musicians and Guides go room-to-room in healthcare facilities, performing live, acoustic music for patients, families, and staff.
• Virtual Performances – Using video conferencing, we connect patients with live performances wherever they are, including multi-hospital concerts.
• Spanish-Language Virtual Program – A 30-minute interactive performance led by Spanish-speaking volunteers.
• Music Pharmacies – Tablets with streaming services and high-quality headphones, ready for patient use.
