🚴♂️ I'm riding in the Tour de Tucson to support the FSHD Society! 💪
This November, I’ll be riding in the Tour de Tucson—pushing my muscles to help preserve kid's muscle. I’m riding for every child and young adult battling early-onset facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) who has been left out of the race toward a treatment.
Four biopharma companies are in clinical trials right now for the first-ever treatment for FSHD—but not a single one includes pediatric or non-ambulatory patients. These are the very children and young adults whose disease is the most aggressive, whose muscles are wasting the fastest, and who have no time to wait.
I’m riding to raise critical funds for research focused on early-onset FSHD—especially those who can no longer walk or who began showing symptoms in childhood. These funds will go toward gathering the data biopharma needs to open trials and future access to therapies for those who need it most.
Time is muscle. Every day these kids and young adults are excluded, they lose more strength, more mobility, more independence.
Thank you for your support!
