Clare, Nora, and I are participating in the 5K for Immigrant Justice to raise funds for the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), one of the country's leading human rights organizations that provides life-changing legal services to immigrants and asylum seekers and advocates for a humane immigration system.
Clare has run this race for the last two years, and last year she was able to raise $1,000. This is Nora's first year running and, as competitive as she is with her sister, she'd like to prove that the two of them can beat Clare's number from last year.
