We are raising funds and awareness for two wonderful non-profits in Montgomery County, Interfaith Works and Button Farm Living History Center.
Interfaith Works provides much needed shelter, food, clothing and support for the the homeless and people living in poverty in Montgomery County, MD. IW maintains and operates several shelters, including the 70-bed emergency women's shelter that serves approximately 300 women per year.
Button Farm Living History Center is Maryland’s only living history center depicting 19thcentury plantation life. Situated on 40-acres, inside of Seneca Creek State Park in Germantown, Maryland, Button Farm provides a safe and affirming space for people to gather, commune and explore. Through our unique interactive experiences, we seek to reveal our nation’s social justice legacy, using the story of slavery and the Underground Railroad as a spark for human potential
