YMCA Camp Jones Gulch is a summer overnight camp that brings diverse youth from throughout the Bay Area to our beautiful site in the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Founded in 1934, we are one of the oldest Y camps on the West coast, a jewel nestled among redwoods and oaks on 927 acres. Our camp excels at helping young people connect to and respect peers from varying backgrounds, develop confidence and leadership skills, challenge themselves to learn skills in a variety of activities, and have fun in the outdoors. Through our overnight summer camp, partnerships with San Mateo and San Joaquin Counties’ outdoor education programs, family camps, conferences, and retreats, approximately 20,000 people walk under the redwoods of YMCA Camp Jones Gulch every year.
