apStar is committed to supporting the communities where we live and work.Our annual financial commitments support community programs and the growth of local nonprofits. Through a mutual to stock conversion in 2009, the Athens Federal Foundation was established by Athens Bancshares Corporation, the holding company for the Athens Federal Community Bank N.A., to provide funding and support for charitable causes within the bank’s market area through annual grants. The gifts the Foundation will present to the East Tennessee community in 2019 are expected to bring its giving total to more than $1,000,000. Recognizing the importance of the Foundation’s work, CapStar made a commitment to donate $500,000 each year from 2018 through 2020. CapStar also allocates one third of its marketing budget annually to support community nonprofits. In addition, our CapStar Cares program allows each associate to donate 40 community volunteer hours during the work day each year.
Our commitment is supporting the communities and clients we serve through both financial and volunteer resources.
