Race Against Hunger!

As the mother of five children and a former journalist who has witnessed the effects of hunger and poverty around the world, it is shocking that a country as wealthy as ours still has people experiencing food insecurity.  This is not someone else's problem--it is our problem as children who are malnourished are affected their entire lives, in learning capacity, health disparities and thus, job opportunities.  Let's all battle this together for future generations. And besides running--volunteer at the food bank.  I do and it's really fun and a way to meet your neighbors.
