I met Adam Gorlitsky a few years ago when I was working out at Orange Theory Fitness. You don't see a paraplegic guy roll into a gym every day, but there he was, bright as dawn most days and pushing himself harder than most of us on the rowing machines and in the weight room. If he complained or felt cruddy, you didn't know it. He just took that hour and put all his energy into getting stronger, making his upper body and core his support network for his legs, which he lost the use of following a devastating car accident a few years earlier.
Adam not only became an inspiration to me and those in the gym, but he also became an inspiration to our son. So much so, that Daniel chose to help Adam raise money as part of his Bar Mitzvah project in 2018. All money raised for the Mitzvah Project went to help Adam raise money and awareness to purchase more exoskeletons like the one he uses. Proceeds went toward helping veterans and accident victims purchase their own (very expensive) exoskeletons so they could walk proudly, again, too.
Please help me raise money for Adam as he works hard, yet again, for a new exoskeleton for himself. After numerous bridge runs, a Guinness World Record and a multitude of beer miles, 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons and marathons, it's time for some new legs for Adam. Please support and join me as I help an old friend say "I GOT NEW LEGS!" so he can continue his fight to help others.
