"Deeds Not Words"

I am participating in the BFit Challenge on behalf of 22Mohawks, a non-profit dedicated to preventing suicide among veterans and first responders. My father, a Coast Guard Veteran died by suicide in 2009. Knowing first hand the pain that comes along with losing someone you love to suicide I've dedicated my life to helping others so they will never have to experience that kind of loss.

22Mohawks is a 501c3 Veterans Charitable Organization located in Sharon, MA helping veterans and first responders lead themselves to find purpose. We do this through a blend of mental fitness classes, peer to peer, and community events, along with our three core programs 22Mohawks Pups for Vets & First Responders, 22Mohawks Airborne Operations Course and Retreat and 22Mohawks SIT REP22 Contact, Care and Listen Mental Fitness.

Our 3 Core Programs:

22Mohawks Pups for Vets and First Responders - We pair companion dogs with veterans & first responders and provide basic obedience/CGC training at no cost in all 50 states. Since Sept 2021 we have paired over 150 dogs with veterans and first responders.
22Mohawks Airborne Operations Course and Retreat - We run operations bi-annually having 15/20 veterans/first responders attend a week long Army abbreviated Airborne School in Dunnellon Fl. This week is filled with group and 1on1 mental fitness sessions, yoga, suicide prevention classes and each attendee gets 5 static line jumps.
22Mohawks SIT REP22 - Contact, Care and Listen. This is our mental health division offering free one on one and group mental health sessions as well as CISM (Critical Incident Stress Managment) and QPR suicide prevention instructor training to those who qualify. To date we have trained over 350 people in QPR suicide prevention training, certified 21 QPR Instructors and trained 20 people in CISM.
22Mohawks main mission is always suicide prevention. It’s not just a dog, a jump or an event. It’s a way to bring our people together to know they are not alone in their struggles and we are here for anything they need. This has become the 22Mohawks Family.

Aside from our main programs we host a range of different events and gatherings to bring people together. Check out our website at 22Mohawks.com and on social media at 22Mohawks!

Thank you for your support!
