Checkmat Mission Viejo BJJ Academy is a beginner friendly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team that values friendship and respect. We pride ourselves in our dedication to teach Men, Women and Kids how to develop a high level of martial arts expertise, physical fitness and self-defense skills. We will train you hard and treat you well!
Our mission at Evolve Checkmat Mission Viejo BJJ/ MT Academy is to create a clean, safe, and technically sound environment for learning and developing the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Muay Thai. We are committed to working with all members of the community regardless of previous experience or physical ability. We have committed our lives to this line of work because we know the positive impact practicing BJJ/ MT can have and that is the kind of contribution that we would like to make in our community.
Our purpose is to provide you with the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai instruction in Orange County. Whether your goal is to learn self-defense, become a professional fighter, be a tournament Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / submission grappling champion, or just get in shape while having fun; we can help you meet your goals!!
There are two principal goals at Evolve Checkmat OC: First, we want each member to reach their full martial arts and athletic potential. Second, we want each member to know and feel even though they are participating in what some may consider an individual sport, they are in fact part of a Team, a family. We make each other grow stronger to help each other grow as athletes, martial artists, business men and women and as people.
You will be surrounded by many people who have dedicated years of their lives to studying, training, teaching and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling & MMA.
It is not our intention to prove we are the toughest people in the world, but rather to show we have something that works time and time again with devastating effectiveness and practicality.
