As Director of Housing at Supportive Living Inc. (SLI) I am dedicated to improving the lives of our Residents and our Community.
Supportive Living, Inc. provides supportive housing options to survivors of brain injury in the communities surrounding Boston. An innovator in the field, Supportive Living’s Warren, McLaughlin, Douglas, Norwood and Murphy Houses offer residents a chance to maintain their dignity while living independently, regardless of their ability to pay.
A stroke, car accident, fall, or the onset of a neurological disorder – these devastating events can happen to anyone. Survivors can be left with physical and cognitive challenges that affect every aspect of their lives. Supportive Living, Inc. (SLI) is a non-profit organization that has improved brain injury survivors' quality of life for over 30 years. SLI includes four specialized residential facilities and a unique Neuro-Wellness program. On the educational side, SLI trains college interns to provide hands-on assistance in our Neuro-Fit classes. Since 2013, we have trained over 500 interns from 60+ colleges and universities.
“Many of us know that a critical part of brain injury recovery is consistency. At SLI, we understand that brain injury is not one size fits all. Our Neuro-Wellness Program provides consistent and direct support to brain injury survivors through fitness, music, horticulture, art, and more. We evaluate an individual’s need and create a routine that works for them while also making a positive impact on their health and well-being.” -Lindsay Weir, Director of Neuro-Wellness and Education at SLI
With your help, SLI is making a difference every day in the lives of our family, friends and neighbors affected by brain injury.
