The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients is data driven to improve patient outcomes, through evaluating national data collected by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) on transplant programs and organ procurement organizations. Additionally, SRTR provides analytic support to the department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in a variety of areas including: policy formulation and evaluation, system performance metrics, economic analysis, and preparation of recurring and special reports to Congress. SRTR's goal is to provide support to all members of the transplant community including transplant programs, organ procurement organizations, transplant recipients, living donors, and donor families.
