Childhood Cancer Sucks!

There is nothing worse than watching a child go through cancer treatment. Heartbreak by a thousand needles. As a parent it's difficult to explain why their childhood needs to pause, hopefully just temporarily. That sports, jumping in the lake, or going to school is not an option. That their hair won't recover by prom, and college may need to wait. But the most unimaginable, parents who have needed to say good-bye to their children.

Seattle Children's treats over 330 new cancer patients a year covering the largest geographic of any hospital in the country. With nearly 20 labs focussed on pediatric research, cures are coming but not fast enough. Less than 4% of a dwindling federal commitment to science and research is delaying progress, and we need to do better.

Funding is urgently needed to save lives today and create a more promising future. Seattle Children's is a world leader in research improving the effectiveness of treatment while reducing the toxicity that lead to life long complications involving the immune system, heart, and fertility. 100% of your contribution goes to pediatric cancer research.
