For more than 150 years, nurse anesthetists have been providing anesthesia care to patients in the United States. The CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) credential came into existence in 1956. Today, CRNAs are anesthesia professionals who safely administer approximately 43 million anesthetics to patients each year in the United States.
In Maryland, there are over 900 CRNAs (including student registered nurse anesthetists) providing safe anesthesia care for Marylanders in our hospitals, surgery centers, dental offices, and healthcare facilities.
This year, Maryland CRNAs are coming together to participate in the Y Turkey Trot and to raise money for the YMCA. CRNAs are integral to our healthcare system and are excited to give back to their local communities!
Please help our CRNA teams support the Y in Central Maryland by donating to this page. Proceeds from the Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K support the Y Open Doors fund enabling access and inclusion in healthy Y programs for all.
Here's how you can help!
Please support CRNAs of Maryland by donating any amount to our page. Can't decide what amount to give? Check out these Y program costs to consider when making your donation.
- $25 covers the cost of a bag of groceries for a family or individual living in food insecurity.
$65 gives the gift of a Y Swim Lesson session to a child in your community, teaching them water safety and helping to develop their lifelong love of swimming.
- $106 gives a month of a Y Membership to a family of four, taking part in Y classes and family activities.
- $352 sends a child to camp for a week, giving them safety, fun and learning while school’s out.
THANK YOU for your support.
PS. Please don't forget to share the Turkey Trot Charity 5K with your family and friends so they can join in the fun!
