My mom, Jeannie Langlitz, passed away 6 years ago from complications with Lupus. She fought this terrible disease for over 40 years. After several years of misdiagnosis, she was finally diagnosed with Lupus in her mid 20s. At first Lupus affected her heart, lungs, and hands. By the end of her life, she would end up with multiple hip surgeries, trouble swallowing, the loss of the ability to use her arms, and the loss of her leg. She fought a long and difficult battle while trying to stay strong for her family. My hope is that, through research, people will be able to get diagnosed sooner, have access to medication that increases their quality of life and, eventually, a cure.
Please help me raise money for the Lupus Foundation of Northern California so, together, we can make these dreams come true.
