What a year it has been. COVID-19 served a devastating blow to those who were already experiencing hunger, homelessness, and fear of an uncertain future. Like the mother who called Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services, Inc. (LARS) from a motel with her four children crying in the background. At the height of the pandemic, she was running low on food and money to keep her family sheltered for another night. LARS was able to provide her with food, pay her outstanding motel bill, and provide her with affordable housing referrals. This call was just one of hundreds that LARS has received since our nation was forever changed by COVID-19.
This year I am participating in the 16th Annual Turkey Trot to Benefit LARS. I am helping raise essential funds for basic resources like food and housing for Laurel residents in need. Will you help me reach my fundraising goal by donating today?
