100% of profits from the race and donations support the Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) Foundation's Lung Cancer Fund to help people diagnosed with lung cancer and treated at NCH who are experiencing financial challenges related to their diagnosis or treatment. An application process is required. We are also providing A Gift A Lung Screen for those who meet the criteria for lung screening, are not covered by their insurance and can't afford the out of pocket cost as demonstrated by an application process. You can donate with your race registration or from the race website at www.beatlungcancer5k.com. The "DONATE" button on this webpage will land you on the NCH Foundation webpage. Pick "Lung Cancer Fund" from the drop down list under "designation". Write "Pairing up to Beat Lung Cancer" in the comments.
For any donation with your race registration of any amount, you will be automatically entered into a raffle for prizes provided by local businesses. If you donate $100 or more, you will also receive a 50% discount on the event entry fee of $30.00. The NCH Foundation will send you a thank you letter sometime after the close of the race (11/06/2021). You should receive it by early 2022. This letter can be used for tax purposes.
