This April, I will be joining Tough Ruck Nation to compete in my 4th marathon of 26.2 miles, with an elite group of 1000 who ruck to HONOR AMERICA'S FALLEN.
Every year I carry the names of friends and family who I have lost over the years, but on October 4, 2024 I received a call on my birthday that a great man who I admired passed away. A man who not only treated me like a son since the 3rd grade, but was seen as positive figure amongst anyone he ever came in contact with. He is the father of my best friend, the husband of the woman i call "mom", a mentor, a leader and a friend. My birthday is no longer mine, but shared with the memory of a great man that I was proud to know. Last year, I honored him with BIB #104 and crossed that finish line with my fastest time yet, because of all those hands on my back. This year, I ruck again with BIB #104 in Memory Warren Serenbetz and the other 13 who I speak to when I look up into the sky. So please help me reach my goal so I can once again honor my fallen family.
