Trick or Trot 5K
UPDATE: Kid One Transport's 8th Annual Trick or Trot 5k has moved virtual due to local government restrictions. Please join us Oct. 11 - Oct. 18 to run the 5k either on the traditional course (linked here) or one convenient to you. We will have packet pick up at Back Forty Brewing on Oct. 16 and suggest that it might be an ideal time to run the course and join us at Back Forty following your finish.

Get into the Halloween spirit at the 8th Annual Trick or Trot 5K benefiting Kid One Transport! The Trick or Trot 5K is a costume run that traditionally takes place in downtown Birmingham, Alabama through the streets of the Lakeview District.
Due to COVID-19 and government restrictions, Kid One Transport had to move the race to a virtual format from Oct. 11 - Oct. 18. All race activities this year will take place virtually with a packet pick up at Back Forty Birmingham on Friday Oct. 16th. From noon until 6 pm
The event includes 5K, a costume contest (social media), & a gaiter. Runners of all ages, strollers and pets are welcome!
There will be awards given for Biggest Team (Community and Corporate), Most Spirited Team (Best Costumes), Most Spirited Individual (Best Costume), Most Spirited Kid (Best Costume), and Most Spirited Pet & Owner (Best Costume)! Costumes are not required to participate but are encouraged - the crazier the better!

In the event that the Trick or Trot 5K cannot run as planned in person, all registrants will continue as virtual race participants.
All proceeds from the Trick or Trot 5K benefit Kid One Transport and will raise funds to provide transportation to medical care for children and expectant mothers throughout Alabama.
We will make every effort to conduct this race in accordance with CDC, state, and local guidelines. CDC Guidelines on how to protect yourself: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html. We will rely on each runner to conduct themselves with best practices during the global pandemic, including practical physical distancing, avoiding handshakes, and wearing facemasks, etc.
