Lace-up your running shoes and support the ASO!
The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce the Tchaik 5k (pronounced "CHAI-k" and short for "Tchaikovsky"). We’ll provide the playlist! Complete your socially distanced 5K run or walk between May 23 & 30 and receive a Tchaik 5K t-shirt while supporting the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.
In May, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra was scheduled to perform Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony. Unfortunately, due to the world health pandemic, the ASO was forced to cancel these performances. In our new normal of staying home, we are grateful to be experiencing some amazing spring weather and a renewed love for exercise and being outdoors.
Participants must register by May 23 to receive a t-shirt. T-shirts will be mailed after May 30.
Virtual races give runners and walkers the flexibility to complete the race at any time, at any pace, and in any location. Complete the race inside on your treadmill, or outside in your neighborhood!
Track your time and compete with others in our Strava Club or complete the race on your own time. You can even just register to receive a race t-shirt. The choice is yours! We encourage all levels of participation.
In the time of social distancing, the Tchaik 5K is a great way to stay active, engage with the community, and participate in some healthy competition while supporting the Alabama Symphony Orchestra!
Create your own fundraiser or fundraising team to help us reach our goal! Check out the link below to learn more-
Prizes will be given for most individual and team fundraising!
*Please note that creating an individual fundraiser or a fundraising team does not register you for the race.
As a sponsor, you will receive mentions on social media, the ASO website, and press releases. Your logo will be printed on the back of the t-shirt and you will receive vouchers for the ASO’s 2020-2021 season. In this time of social distancing, we need your support now more than ever!
